Faculty Research Assistant

Christy Watson

I am working with the plant pathology program at CBARC to help establish molecular screening protocols in the research of root diseases of cereal crops. My experience is in traditional molecular and genetic techniques, recently with a focus on marker assisted selection in wheat breeding. I am here for a limited amount of time and hope to enable this program to utilize some of the DNA marker technology and genetic resources that are available.
