Rhizoctonia
Root Rot
Rhizoctonia
root rot is one of the most important diseases delaying adoption of biologically
and economically sustainable conservation tillage systems in the Pacific
Northwest. Emphasis has been placed on developing management practices
that minimize economic risk from this disease. Such practices include
seed treatment, fertilizer placement, timing of planting, resistant varieties,
weed management during non-crop periods, selection of the style of seed
drill, and others. Collaborators include scientists in Washington, Idaho
and Oregon. Representative papers include the following.
